I highly recommend this book for anyone suffering with pain of any kind. I was literally suffering in excruciating pain and hate taking narcotics that my Dr. prescribed. I started out doing a few of the exercises, not quite to the recommended number of reps or sets. Every day I increased the movements and by week 2 I was nearly pain free. I'm not at 6 weeks of doing the exercises and am completely off medications. I have a bit of pain but nothing debilating. I will continue with the exercises and I know they will get me to the point of no pain at all. My doctor and physical therapist approved of the exercises and encouraged me to continue.

I have been a fan of Pete Egoscue's for over 6 years. His e-cises are excellent and will keep one "Pain Free". Pain Free Living has additional menu's plus a DVD..all are excellent. I would highly recommend this book, but would suggest that they read both "Health through Motion" and "Pain Free" first.

Chiropractor didn't work-would rather not have an MRI, following the methods within this book and CD did relieve pain in my back, hip and leg. Now it only takes about 15min each morning and sometimes 15min in the evening to be fully pain free again. Exercises that make sense finally.

After "Pain Free" this is my 2nd favorite read on the Egoscue method. Less egotistical and more personal. Would recommend to anyone that needs to learn more about Egoscue, is in the program or is intending to start the program. It keeps me from getting discouraged to retread portions of this book.

I got this book as a follow up to an actual in person session with an Egoscue trainer. The young man who worked with me had a master degree in Physiology and used some of the results with test patients as his thesis. He was so impressed with the work of Mr. Egoscue he decided to go to work for him and became certified in the method.The book helped me to remember my personalized exercises and do some further reading about the program. I would recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing pain and wants to find out how to feel better.

He just shares shared theories but know knowledge or technical practice. I guess he wants u to go to his schools to learn his techniques. This just tells u why u should learn them.

A bunch of useless mumbo jumbo.

Egoscue is a decent writer, which is why I give the book two stars instead of one. The book itself is long on self-congratulation and self-promotion, and very short on actual information. It's basically a long-winded ad for his program.
